1/24 oz and 1/32 oz jig heads tail was salt and pepper
water depth 12-13 feet
fishing small brush piles along the river channel
fish wanted the jig held still and in the dirt.
if my jig wasn't bumping the bottom of the lake
i would not get hit.touch bottom and just as you nudged
the jig off bottom is when the light hit would happen.
wind was lite to none out on n/w water in good shape.
lot of shad busting the top.

Thanks for the report Sticko . . for me it’s been really tough getting those jokers to bite the last few times I’ve been out. Are you using nibbles also?

yes i used berkley crappie nibbles the red or chartreuse
both have been working. I think it has been hard on a lot
of people to get the crappie to bite in this heat. takes patience's
the small jigs work best and the least amount of movement
seems best.Holding the jig still or barely move it . but last couple
trips they wanted the jig hitting the lake bottom.

Thanks sticko. Went yesterday morning. The lake and the weather were awesome early on. After 1100 it was getting hot. By noon we left empty handed. I think I used every jighead but salt & pepper. Black and char. Blue and char, but we weren’t fishing on the bottom. Will do that next time.
