Hit the main lake in search of . . well it was crappie at first until the wind and white caps made me go to plan B. Found several small schools of white bass and was able to put a limit in the cooler and make mama happy. All in the 12-13 inch range.

I did find an area that was littered with brushpiles and logs that were never there before . . I’m pretty sure Harvey was responsible for setting those out! :D can’t wait to go back and see if the crappie have set up housekeeping.

That's an awesome catch. I would like to see the white bass become more populated in the lake. Glad to see they have had as successful spawn either on Houston or Conroe. Where you trolling or casting? Vertical jigging?

Trolling this time . . was way too windy to try to vertical jig ‘em.

Cool. I recently tried my hand at trolling a couple of weeks ago on Livingston with good results. I like to vertical jig, but it was super hot and trolling creates a little breeze! Thanks for the info. I'll be out there in a couple of weeks looking for school
