I spent all that time learning Lake Houston and now thanks to Harvey, its back to school for me. I don't fish much anymore, but I do enjoy boating on the lake. I tried easing up the old way to Sharky's from Lake Houston Marina, but that was a no-go, especially in an old cruiser with an I/O. Do any of you guys know if there is a decent channel to get up to that part of the river anymore? I typically stay south of 1960, but back in the good ol' days I could put in at the ramp at Kingwood and putt around up there. I don't know if you fellas have seen the pics from the Kingwood ramp, but after looking at them myself, I'm not sure I'll ever live to see that get back to normal. (I'm sure I have them on my computer somewhere, if you want me to post them, let me know.) Friday afternoon was my first day back on the lake since before the flood. There is some pretty scary stuff in the water.....giant root balls, whole trees, etc. There always was stuff like that but at least I knew where most of it was.
