Lake Houston Fishing!

What is peoples opinions of the Navionics maps for Lake Houston? I bought the app so I could start studying the channels prior to my boat arriving. I only know the East Fork for ~ 1.5 miles each way from East End Park as that is what I have kayaked.

Any map of Lake Houston will not be accurate after Harvey, that storm changed several of the channels in several areas of the lake.....

SK is right I run Lakemaster also and before the storm it was fairly accurate on the channels
and the channels light up in a bright purple and it was easy to keep the boat symbol in the
channel even running at high speed. It works well on conroe and Sam Rayburn.
my son has Navionics he says his is off in the bayou shows him running on dry land in parts
of the bayou.

But now the lake Houston is so messed up where the lake was deep is now dry ground.
big trees are laying just under the water in the middle of the channels. Just take it very
easy your first trip and save you a clear track you can run at a latter date.

it gets very bad up the east fork once you round the corner by the high bluffs i had to
hunt for deep enough water to run in just to enter by the bluff banks. Once a pretty
sight is so ugly now .

Navionics updates as people run the lake and upload there data .. Wont take long to get it where it needs to be.

I agree. I knew they would all be off from Harvey but I figured some studying would be better than nothing. For example I didnt know channel coming into East Fork from lake north of Lake Houston Marine was along east shoreline.

As to logs just under the water I planned ahead......I designed the boat I ordered to run Lake Houston. 22' aluminum inboard jet drive.

Navionics does the same thing to me on san jac river -- havent been in lake houston with it yet, keep wanting to try the lake / luces out but just havent done it yet -- been so long since been on luces and lake dont know where trouble spots are and hate to mess up lower or boat -- lol

after hurricane Harvey moving big trees all over the place no one knows where the trouble
spots are now.
