Is there a feature for bank fishermen?

If not, I would like for that addition to be considered. I have been told there is not much offering for bank fishing on Lake Houston and surrounding areas. But that is even the more reason for a space for that type of information to be easily shared.

Sometimes I read that boaters have found fish near bridges or more shallow waters and I often wonder if these locations can be reached from land.

So a resource to help expand land fishing opportunities is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

There is plenty of good fishing off the bank. They are just using the wrong kind of bait.. I agree I have to fish on the shore as well.

the east end park at the end of kingwood drive allows access to the river. lots of cypress and holds lots of crappie. not much fishing pressure from the bank which makes it nicer for me. I'm the only redneck carrying out a basket full of crappie out of there amongst all of the joggers and bike riders. 31 keepers on 4-22. some females close to 2.5" thick & 16" long. all of which inhaled a jungbug / chartreuse jig in about 2-3 FOW next to every cypress stump you can reach. usually don't reveal spots because as soon as you do, the word spreads too fast and your slice of heaven gets trashed. need another redneck to join me there so I'm not the outcast

I'll be there in the morning bouncing my jig off every cypress stump within reach - weather pending. look for the fat guy in camo shirt with longhorn hat....hell, I'll be the only guy jigging.......I tend to work the north end of the park

side note the catfish are starting to move in on the bulkheads on Livingston. we have a place up there where we catch 40 or so per day before 9 am
crappie...catch and eat, too good to sit

I think a bank fishing section would be a great idea. I'm currently working on a google map of fishing spots in the area.
