Had the opportunity to take the family to the rodeo yesterday. The little man is two and a half and this was his first trip so we didn't know what to expect. Started out with some of the kiddie rides. He rode a few but then wasn't having it anymore, so we moved on to the midway. We figured we could wow him with some of the giant stuffed animals, but nope, not interested. Gave up on entertaining him and decided to walk around the arena and the exhibitors.

The boy went nuts.

First it was over the show rabbits in the area. He wanted them all. A few of the kids let him pet a few and it was like he had just mainlined crack! After he finally had his fill of the rabbits we made it over to the exhibitor hall. He was less than enthused by the treefrogs play houses, but went crazy over a John Deere tractor. We had to pull him off kicking and screaming, he didn't want to come down. We made it around the back of the hall and hit the rows of show cattle. Bad move. It was the rabbits all over again except each one of these weighed 800-1200 pounds...

Bottom line is the guy loved the rodeo, but not the parts we were expecting. I'm seeing raising a few rabbits in our future...
