The fish fry is a week from this Saturday. Here is a map of where it is in Duessen park. The red line ends in a parking area right beside the #5 pavilion which is circled in red. Double click on it to make it larger. The plan is to serve the food at about noon. Come early and meet the people you see posting on the web site. Bring your family and enjoy the day with us.

Weatherman, assuming they will be thawed, around 11:00 should be early enough.

I'll bring some cornmeal also. I picked up two large and two medium size disposable aluminum pans. Also grabbed several bottles of iced tea - a couple sweet, one diet sweet, and a couple unsweet.

What time is everyone showing up and when are the pans and cornmeal needed?

We'll plan on 10:30 or so. I love all of 1/2 mile away. :)

Assuming this event is kid friendly, we'll likely bring my 12 year old daughter with us. Is there a spot on the bank in Deussen that is worth fishing from? If so, I may bring her rod and she can fish if she gets bored.

yes it is and there are a lot of catfish caught there

they have some wide walkways people fish from .

but the pavilion we are at is not right on the water

it is a several hundred yards south of the small sail boat ramp.

I thought we would be in Alabama for Mother's Day weekend, so I never officially signed up. However, I would like to swing by in order for me and my father to meet everyone.

If there is anything still needed, I live close enough to drop it off.
