Bought an Ultrex new early this year. Only been on water a few times since the but already got an issue. Made cursory internet search but can’t find exact suggestion on problem.

I have got power to the foot pedal. The trolling motor also rotates without any problems. The problem is I get no power to the prop. I haven’t had a chance yet to really get out and look everything over but hoping some of y’all may have seen this before and shorten my time troubleshooting.

check battery connections and make sure you are getting enough power
to run the motor. what volt troll motor do you have takes less power to turn othan run the motor.

Sticko,

It is a 36V Ultrex.

Got the multimeter out today. Found north of 13.2 volts on all x3 Optima Blue Tops. Had just over 39 volts at my dash plug. I called Minn Kota and discussed but basically they said take it for warranty repair. They did authorize me to open the top head and check it there. When I tested there I found 0 volts indicating the issue is somewhere in the foot pedal.

One interesting thing. If I put the foot control in "Spot Lock" and shake the boat hard the prop comes on. It will not do the same when put in "Troll" or typical "Foot Control" modes. Im guessing these is a bad board in the foot control.

It is headed to G&S tomorrow for warranty repair.

I really like how the Ultrex controls. Many thanks to Sticko for suggesting it as I did not know they were making a cable control with Spot Lock. I haven't had a lot of chance to play with the Spot Lock but I definitely like how much easier it is to mount and unmount compared to the Motorguide I had. Just got bad feeling though it may be a lemon like the Motor Guide since it made less than 6 months before failing.

I hope it is just something minor I bought one for my son . He fishes
The Bass tournaments every week on Conroe or Rayburn . He has had his
Ultrex for about two years now with no trouble out of it and he just loves
how the spot lock will hold him on spot in some high wind he is also running
the 112 pound .

I am running the 80 lb ulterra and just love the self deploy and spot lock
great when launching by yourself just send the boat out and spot it go
park the truck and call the boat to you on the ramp and crawl in .

G&S called and they already got it fixed. As suspected board was bad. Picking it back up tomorrow.
