Lake Houston Fishing!

I am interested in learning more about fishing for crappie on Lake Houston. I have spent the last 25 years fishing saltwater. Now I am ready to get back to fishing for crappie. I have new Lowe deep-v with 90hp boat just need someone to go with me.

Welcome Jrb. How close do you live to the lake and can you go only during the weekends or what? There are quite a few of us on this forum that live on the lake. I would be wiling to take you in my boat and show you a few spots and offer some pointers. I single pole jig 99% of the time. I only use soft plastics and hand tied jigs. I fish Luce Bayou and the East Fork most of the time. I will fish the main lake in the summertime, which I guess is right now. If you see other boats out on the water fishing, just approach slowly and say hello. 99% of us are generally friendly guys and will surely help a new guy on the lake.
