I've been using New Age" chenille now for about a year. It is variegated and has flash in it usually. I got several new colors last week and tied up some samples to take fishing next time out. Here is a link to the source of the chenille... many are only available on this site. He has 56 colors of the stuff and I have at least half of them. http://stores.crazyanglertackle.com/new-age-chenille/

Here are pictures of the new ties. Sorry for the quality of the photos... some have colored hair on the body due to my dirty bench. The file name is the name of that color of chenille.

Thanks Sticko and SK. SK, no, not feathers... it is a material I started using about 4 months ago that I really like called craft fur or artificial polar bear fur. It comes in lots of colors, and is very fine and very soft. It comes on a sheet of material 5 by 5 inches and you just cut off what you need for a tail. The fur is 3 to 4 inches long and I cut it to shape after I tie it onto a jig head. About $5 and will do 4 to 5 dozen jigs.
