Dutch I think I was WRONG bout how many you could tie in an hour look like one per minute & that = 60 per hour.....

The vid above showed how I tie jigs. I usually don't tie plain ones any more. I add contrasting colors and flash in the tail and usually some contrast to the body.

EXAMPLE:

The tail is chatruese (even though it doesn't show up well). Next I add a few strands of dark green on top of the tail for contrast. Then I take some flat flashabou and tie on each side to give more tail flash. The I tie a piece of flat flashabou to the area where the tail is wrapped on. Then I run the thread up to behind the head and tie on the body chenille and wrap it down and back to form the body. Last I take the piece of flat flashabou and spiral wind it up the body and tie it all off, whipping the thread for the knot. Takes me about 4 minutes to tie one like this. I believe contrast is the key, and the body color is the main color on the jig. Hope this helps.
