Haven't seen any reports on these. We caught them up to 2 lbs in North Carolina and Virginia. Are there any in Lake Houston?

No. Yellow perch can't take the heat of the water in the deep South. Google says the die at 91 degrees water temp. And become stressed at 79 degrees. Water temps stay in the upper 80s for 6 months plus here. If there does happen to be one in lake houston, it is one miserable being for sure.

Used to catch them in Minnesota all the time, too butche. Bigger ones come through the ice.

Right there with crappie and just behind a walleye for quality of meat. Sure do miss them down here.
