I remember pulling those in one after the other as a kid and how much fun it was. Then I caught my first catfish and it was a whole new ball game. I wouldn't mind finding some spot where I could catch panfish like that again. Some good eating for sure.

From what I've read the red ear seem to be diminishing & are even disappearing from some lakes.....not sure why but there are several that target them that are at lost.....

I remember when I was younger, literally you could catch a perch on every cast..... I wish I could find somewhere to do that for my son now. Used to catch em on the smallest Rebel Pop-R and grasshopper type baits.

That's all we shoot for on our Annual Guatalupe River Run each Year it's a Blast to go ultra lite with jigs and worms and catch those little buggers.

Here is the T-Bend report of 5/24 and you can fill the cooler with all the bream you care to clean.

CRAPPIE/BREAM: The crappie are hot with most crappie guides booked for the next few weeks as brush piles are loaded with nice crappie. Live shiners are the bait of choice but some are being caught on light line and 1/16 oz. crappie jigs and Road Runners. Bream are bedding in 2 o 4 feet depths and families are having a fun time catching bream using earth worms and crickets.
