Cant believe I hadn't seen that video before now. But now that I have you've definitely got my attention. Details please. Is May-June the best time to catch um? What part of the lake? Thought I heard something about using Roadrunners. What size/weight, color?

Thanks in advance.

June and july are good months .

1/32 ounce jig. works good

meal worms, night crawlers , under a cork works good.

around most bulk heads under a cork

or deep around the rip rap at the dam or 1097 road bed.

usually holds just at the bottom of the rocks about 9 to 10

feet down.

Thanks Sticko. You are definitely the walking talking fishing encyclopedia for these parts. Gotta admit that video got me. It said it was time for big red ears in Conroe and I though something was kinda fishy when I saw the size of the ones he was catching. It wasn't till later when I read the replies on the u-tube video I knew for sure he was not catching those monsters anywhere around here. Bummer. Lol.
Gonna have to give um a try. Grand kids are driving me nuts wanting to go fishing. Or in there case "catching". Fishing doesn't keep their interest very long unless their "catching". I figure perch aughta be about the easiest to find and for them to catch. Bobbers are always fun for kids. They love seeing that little red and white ball get pulled under the water. Guess I'm still a kid at heart because I enjoy it as much as they do. Fish on! Lol.

Thanks again. Your tha best.
