Hey guys, hope everyone on here is having a happy Father's Day!!

Stayed 10 days up on Conroe at Cagle Park with my family and got to spend a good amount of time with my dad. Only fished 3 days, but had a bunch of fun.

Water temp was 89 on the south end and 87 up by Cagle. Fished off the bulkheads at Cagle and got several sunfish in the 6-8 inch range. Plenty of action to keep the kid entertained. Toured the south end of the lake in the boat with my dad and saw a lot of beds, but nobody home. Tried the timber in front of Cagle for crappie. I think I could spot a thermocline about 16 feet deep and fish suspended 12 feet down in 22 feet of water. Jigged for a few hours and got 3 small catfish. Went back and picked up my dad and a small tub of punchbait and proceeded to catch 40 some-odd catfish and only kept 8 of the better ones.

I got my cooler and tackle bag stolen out of my boat Friday afternoon, so that was the end of my fishing for the weekend...but I still had a lot of fun and it was definitely great to have so much time with my dad last week.

That is horrible that you cannot go camping and not be stolen from.

glad you got to spend quality time with your dad and family. Did those things get
taken at cagle . Been kind of leary about going out of there afraid someone will
break into the truck. was your boat in the water or at camp.

people just did not do that kind of stuff when i was growing up we would
go fishing and leave the car open all the time we fished a long way from the car
if you saw a stranger that wanted something we just tell them go to the car and
get water . cokes or what they needed . you go to the bait shop you just got
the bait and they have a few dollars and change in a cigar box you paid for the
bait and made your own change . no one ever stole from that box . Now they
try to take everything.

Yup, some people have no moral compass...

sticko, they were stolen from my campsite in Cagle, not even the boat ramp. Had my boat hitched up and parked on the road right in front of my trailer. It's a nice park, and it was plenty busy during the week. There were probably a minimum of 15 boat trailers and 2/3 full of campers all week with not a single issue. Come Friday, the place was packed and this happened. The gate house attendants (park hosts) were hardly ever up front and let the self pay box do its job...

I got the feeling whoever did it, this is their game...they knew the park would be busy, and no one would be up front. I bet they drove in, hit open boats and truck beds and drove out, probably didn't spend more than 5 minutes total in the park...

It's not too bad, I only lost what I had invested in panfish gear. I guess they only stole what they could take silently, if they'd have lifted two velcro straps they would have had all the rods and reels too.
