Today was a black crappie and black bass day at Sheldon. All nice size !! If you had never fished it. Then make plans it's worth the trip. I saw Gators and plenty of wildlife also so becareful.

Sheldon is a very nice lake long as the idgets keep tha trash picked up & stop breaking into vehicles over there...

I mentioned the gators above as to really give y'all a heads up if y'all try Sheldon for it's great bass and black crappie fishing. The Gators are big for sure. I would just warn y'all they are there in and it's is very common to see one or two on every outing. So yeah leave kids and dogs behind. This pic was also from today.

Thanks SK. Caught a 6 lb bowfin too on a long pole. Long poles work there, Just have to shallow them up. But casting 1/32 road runners in chartreuse works best..

There use to be a ton of gators in there but I little elf told me they were being hunted out of there......absolutely leave the dogs at home when goin there.......There are some nice white crappie in there also.....

Those bowfins put up a good fight......slimmer buggers.......
