Anyone know why the wardens were in Huffman yesterday? A buddy of mine saw four different wardens around there. Just curious. Its good to see them out and about. I would like to see them at the ramps to check catches.

yep that is why they took mine out and measured the length and girth to see why mine
were so much more longer and healthier than most they have been seeing caught on
lake Houston.

Those jokers checked my fish in the livewell during a tournament. I was super pissed. I get it they have a job to do but why would I have shorties in my livewell on tournament day of all days

I have seen plenty of people come to weigh in with short fish in tournaments. Some were seasoned anglers. I even seen one bring in a short fish in an Anglers Quest tournament in the past and when it got measured he got mad and threw the AQ weigh basket in the lake.

Im sure its happened to several people as everyone makes mistakes. I guess the point I was trying to make was "one would think that folks fishing in a tournament would hopefully take greater precautions when measuring their fish than someone out fun fishing. Its all good they are doing there job. If I was a game warden, I honestly wouldn't have wasted my time or someone else's hoping they made a mistake and had a 13" fish in the well. 8)

yes a short fish will really hurt in most tournaments they will throw that fish out
and your biggest fish with it as a penalty. So i am not thinking a tournament.
fisherman is going to bring in a short or dead fish . Not in a money tourney anyway.
