Anyone on here have good results for boat carpet.
I am going to re carpet my boat . i did it a few years
back but the carpet has faded very quickly . Lot of work
so looking to get much better carpet this time around.
I ordered some the other day from boatcarpetbuys.com

20 ounce carpet . I had gotten a free sample and it looked
good but when i ordered the carpet it looks to thin . So sent it back

now waiting on some samples from Basscat boats carpet. 24 ounce

but if anyone on here has any with good results i will check
them out also.

That is pretty thick carpet. If you have compartment lids, they may not close or open easily with it.

Stico do you put your carpet in our does somebody do it for you. I would be interested on seeing the carpet that you choose and if somebody does it for you what they would charge. I would like a dark grass green. :D

Jignjim. I do my own new carpet installation. It takes a lot of work but is fairly simple
to do. i use the trawl to put glue on the floor and back of lids i use spray adhesive
for the sides and corners of the lids. i use clamps and strips of wood to hold the
edges of lids just like they do in the bottom video here. I take care taking off the old
carpet to use as a templet for cutting the new one . if you don't have that you can
make one with craft paper. take off the old glue with 40 grit sand paper on my 7 inch
hand buffer. and clean up with acetone.

the place i am trying to get carpet now does not have green.

but this site does and will send you a free samples of the colors and thickness
you want. and the vids of how to do https://www.boatcarpetbuys.com/products ... jNEALw_wcB.

I also had mine done one time at a shop that does headliners for cars but he is not in business but you may
find one close to you that will do it.

I have a pontoon with carpet. If I ever replace it, I would put in something I could hose down, like linoleum. If I buy a new one, it would have linoleum, or something similar.
