Good morning all. New member here. Longtime fishermen.

I recently started fishing with my six-year-old and had some questions regarding best shore spots on the lake. My plan this weekend is to take him to Rogers Gully near the Walden golf course as I've had some luck there with smaller bass. I've finished the Lake Houston Marina and Duessen in the past with marginal success and I don't want to burn him out early! Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

The best thing for a young child is action. Bass will not give him much action

But the bream are in full spawn mode and biting good. if it were me i would

rig up with live night crawlers or red worms . The bream and catfish should

give him plenty action till he gets a little older before putting him on bass

that sometimes are quit a while between bites.

Appreciate the advice. Any recommendations for shore location?

there is a little feeder creek (subdivision drainage) behind the park and tennis courts on Atascocita Shores Drive, south of 1960. It is always shaded, so it's not so hot. lots of bream / sunfish. few bass.
