A buddy of mine found on the tpwd website a lake houston general census type of report from 2014. After looking at it i recalled some of the posts in the white bass section that reflected my sentiments of...where are the white bass. Seems that over the years the wb have tapered off noticeably. The report seems to point the finger at a gravel mine operation up the east fork...(i think there are a couple of them) leaving me with the impression that the byproduct of silt being stirred up is part of the problem. My question is, (if this is still relevant) what can we do as sportfishermen to make an impact to produce a change in their operation to support a better lake houston ecosystem? Here is the link to the tpwd where we found out about this.
