Looking to buy a new one what is a good one want clear picture and good image
Detail. Also is side image worth the money

Clearest images = HB Mega units.....

i am running a hummin bird side scan . I love it opens up a whole new
world for your eyes to see you can cover a lot of structure to the sides
of the boat as you go . You can freeze the screen if you see a brush pile
50 yards to your side . send your cursor over there and mark the brush pile with
out going there. But if you wanted to go there just hit go to and it will mark
a wide line to the pile showing your boat position on the chart to follow the
line to the pile .

I've been looking at the lowrance TI models myself they have side and down all in one unit.

I run 2 of the 9's and that total scan transducer is pretty nice but difficult to get the correct placement. It takes a few adjustments to mount it. I don't think you will go wrong with it.

All you guys aughta go down to the "web site feature request" board & vote on Forrest adding a electronics board that will cover depth/fish finders & troll motors....
Just maybe if'n we get enough folks that would use it he'll add it....

I'm with ya, SK!

I have a Lowrance Elite 4 DI right now, and when it comes time to upgrade or switch, the guys here are the resource I'll come to. A dedicated board would probably be used A LOT.
