I got up close and personal with those things, Sticko, and there are no air bubbles that I could see. I could see the big fan going around just under the water surface at about 50 rpm or so. The only way I could tell that there was water moving was that you could see how it caused the light going through it to shimmer a little. Water was green.

Dutch, I really don't want to appear ignorant, but what is a Solarbee?
I will have to read my manual a little more to learn how to take screen shots like you and 'killa do. I have the HDS GEN2 Lowrance.

Solarbees Are solar powered water circulators. There are a dozen or so about a mile or so north of Duessen launch ramp on the west side. They draw water from the bottom of the lake up a plastic tube about 4 feet in diameter with a solar powered propeller. Supposed to improve the water quality.

Top shot looks like you went crosswise across a channel of some sort. Almost looks like an old bridge of some sort on the right. Second picture looks like a pile of logs and brush. Fairly tall based on the sonar shadow it throws.

Hehehehahaha, Sticko that's what I figured someone would say Hehehehahaha!!
The rudder is where I marked that pile & took a screen shot, I was more interested in all the other floating stuff in that pic. I'm going to say those are cat fish since I got my jigs hook straightened out after a good pull.
Dutch your thinking on that 1st pic is right along mines, the year of the drought that bridge held some good limits of crappie. I always thought it was a rock pile, I made several passes over it until I ran right down the middle of it & that sorta told me bridge. I will say it's on tha south end of the lake & it will be interesting to find out if anyone else knows where it's at!!!!

If those shots are north of the dam and about 200 yards out from Duessen, there is a submerged city water plant out there with several public works trucks on the bottom. Also some boats on the bottom. Many folks don't know about this. You can see it on google earth historical from years back.

My brother works for City of Houston public works. He has lived on Lake Houston for a long time. He is practically a lake historian. Knows every sandbar, hole, sunken car, etc. in the lake.
