Lake Houston Fishing!

Is it legal to set some crawfish nets out in the shallows of lake houston? I'm talking about the little 18" x 18" nets with a chicken neck in the middle.

Directions:
Take 90 to Mc Donald’s
Turn right, got down several miles to the second bridge. It may be the second bridge.
You can catch a ton of them there in just a couple hours. If you look at the bank of this bayou. It looks like someone shot the whole area with a slug gun. It’s crawfish holes. The place is literally loaded.


But from what I read on TPWD the traps have to be the right size, you need gear tags and a fishing license. Other then that I would say it’s probably a go !

I looked it up and yes it is legal There are size limits on the trap though.

"Retired fishing" is just being out in the boat whenever you want.... and getting a Dairy Queen on the way home

I know this is a little old, bit if I could find crawfish on Lake Houston, I could reduce the amount of trips to Crystal Beach because my wife loves crab but would be OK with crawfish. Are there any place of Lake Houston or the San Jacinto River that has them?
