It was up a foot and appeared to be muddy in Luce early this am. I am sure we got 4-5" of rain yesterday.
Might be time to clean out your tackle boxes and get organized. Ha!
But as always, they eat gotta eat every day.

Including a map showing rainfall over the last 48 hours ending 5pm today. From what I see, I can imagine some muddy streaks in the lake. We got just under 4 inches here in Hockley yesterday.

River running real muddy, at least 3in of rain in KW wed night, tackle organizing weekend! I just got boat back together and was wanting to go out today, checked a couple of spots yesterday from bank, windy, dirty and cold water.

We got on a decent crappie bite Tue pm ( 9 keepers) and Wed am (16 keepers), even bought a pound of minnows Tue. Water running and muddy in that spot now, minners getting a weekend in the tank!!

I went ahead and tried this afternoon and got rewarded with 6 nice crappie and at least a dozen throwbacks, then ran out of minnows. Real strong wind and water was clearing some but just hard to keep the bait in the right spot. I went over to Sheldon and bought another pound of minnows ($15) as I am off mid week so plan to try to get some filets in the freezer.

water color still off, had about 3/4 in of rain yesterday sand current was running so did not even try. Went this morning and got 15, then wind picked and up bite really slowed. Caught some male whites too which seems early in the year for their presence in the river.
