first post, havent fished lake houston in 2 year, taking the kayak out to Luce. Might one of you more seasoned fishermen know whats biting out there this time a year? glad to have found your board.

I'm far from the Luce Bayou expert that many here are, but I would say largemouth, crappie and bream can all be found in the bayou right now.

I don't have a clue about White bass. I've never caught one in lake houston. They are there, but I couldn't prove it.

welcome to the site a_a_ron the white bass have just finished up with there
annual spawn and have left the creeks pretty much and went down in the
main lake for the summer. look for them schooling on main lake points.

Indeed ! The White Bass are on the main lake points. Caught several while hunting Large Mouth on Monday......and with the calm winds and lots of sun the lake water temp is rapidly rising. That means the lake will stratify much sooner than usual, which will concentrate the fish in the upper half of the water column....or....higher...
