funny you noticed that i always kept my finger on the line when finesse fishing or top water fishing

but not when cranking. .I still do that when jigging for crappie you can feel the bite better

especially in the wind. I keep the line on my finger and i watch my line constantly where it

enters the water for any hit or movement.

Sticko,

Ive got to were I always thumb the line regardless of whether finessing a worm or cranking. Its probably a little easier, and more natural to me, as I use right handed reels that I cast left handed and reel right handed. As sson as I finish casting my left hand naturally slides up to palm the entire reel with my finger on the line.
