Went out Saturday and ran top to bottom and couldn't find any fish. The bite is tough right now for some reason. Where did the bass go?

Saw a few being caught in the bayou on Saturday while I was fishing. Looked like they were working white spinnerbaits around the edges of the lilypads, and like sticko said, they were small.

Throw an H&H yellow and black skirt with two willow leaf blades. It's about a medium to slow crank. I've caught a lot of bass on those in fishing tournaments in the winter and summer, when nothing else worked. We even won at Toledo Bend in December a few years ago.

Ask Daniel, he went scuba diving for them on Saturday the 12th . All kidding aside, been pretty tough on the lake. Have to run and gun to find a few. Traditional summer haunts have some fish willing to bite but slowing down is the key.
