Dodged some rain today and got on the water around 1:45pm. Ponderosa Marina was empty and so was the Bayou. Had one slap at my crank bait on my first cast but didn't hook up until the third cast. Fish were on drop offs and I ended up with 13 fish. Biggest around 4lbs or so. Best 5 prolly around 11bs. They were chewing pretty good. Noticed that most of the rain today was "training" east and west of the lake so I took a chance and headed out there. Was rewarded with some steady fishing. Put the boat on the trailer at 3:45pm. Saw one other boat in bayou. Good couple of hours and I didn't get wet but it was chilly with air temp at 53 and water 61-63!

Yes Sir, Mr Sticko 8) . The unfortunate part is that a lot of guys/gals keep their boats in the garage and they miss out on some of the best fishing of the year. I usually get some of my biggest fish of the year in December which is the annual start of prespawn.

nice pics and glad to see you got your line streched out before going out of state, should be better when you get back as water temps fall and the girls start looking for their new mates.

Tis the season for bass

Very nice fish. Looking forward to less boat traffic on the lake due to cool/cold temps.
