This is for those who are fishing the lily pads in Luce, to let you know that they sprayed them with weed killer this morning so you will know in a few days the reason they are brown, dead and no fish in them.

Would guess they did it every where on the lake that has lily pads.

So we continue to stock the lake with florida strain bass and kill the little habitat they have. Classic.

quote: "Bassman1" Who is they

They did not have a company name on their boat and would guess that the city of Houston contracted them to rid the lilies and all other grass growing on the lake. Say contracted as they will be out again to make sure they kill all of it or until the city is happy. :?

SO I am thinking the water hyacinths were sprayed not necessarily the pads. I haven't seen any dead pads but have seen a ton of dead hyacinths :?:

How ironic.
Jacinto means Hyacinth in English and they are considered a nuisance so they spray the plant that the river was named after that feeds our lake...
Hmmmmm.
