Sprayed some engine tuner in the old Johnson to try and help with compression #'s

Fri- out of River Grove 1 dink water dirty as heck in entire stretch out of river grove, placed out a few pavers and fished for maybe 1 hour

Sat- out of River Grove wind blowing real good, main lake rough, fished for 2.5 hrs not a tap.

Sun- out of Dunham water looked worse than W Fork, ran about 5 spots and had 3 that were lake Houston special 13.5 inchers. All on spinnerbait. Water temps 79, have not seen that anywhere since May. Did not change the plugs yet after the decarb and she was missing so new ones came yesterday and went it. First one broke too dammit, but I wont be out for a while. About to start flounder fishing. The shorter days get them moving, not so much as the water temps like most believe.

Probably not a good week to go for flounder though.
Maybe if you stand in Pasadena, some will wash up to your feet??

the nastier the weather the better the flounder will bite
since your already going to be wet might as well wade for
some good eating flounder.
just went to shore acres pier a bit ago it is all under water right
now.

Ive not gone, just mentioning I was about to switch gears and target flounder til 11/1 then I wont go back if I can only get two. I ran into an old friend fishing the jetty with my daughter last month who confirmed to me there were some there again now. We used to fish the bay side of S jetty for them where the water pours thru from gulf. Its like a clamshell there and the flounder would gather on it on the moving tides but the hurricanes silted it in and made it real shallow. Now it it deep again and they will be there for sure. I used to fight the crowds at Seawolf then got a yak and started on other side of fuel docks which is productive but it is gets crowded now. Gotta be in the know to shoreline access there it is a few towing companies I think but you will make that corner and 7 guys there. Guides take people there too. We used to drive the goat road next to halliburton down to the water but its blocked now. I used to really be mad at them. Now I want to get my daughter on some, she loves to operate on them to see what they ate!!! I think they are going to shut them down next year altogether ( TPW)

Tried to E fork Sat, water temps 72-73 already really cooled down.

Went on a flounder trip yesterday in yak. Two 18s right off the bat then nothing but throwbacks. Lost castnet first throw of the morning looking for bait ( on a rock), then drowned phone, but came home with two and still know that "thump" feel that means ready the net. Did not see anything else but throwbacks caught, seemed like it was a first thing bite. I was over across from GYB in the channel that the pilot boats come into.
