With the water temps dipping down in the low 53 degrees . The white Bass will

be getting in the fever and start gathering up waiting for their spawning run

all the tributaries That drain into lake Houston. far up to the head waters of the creeks

peach, caney , Luce's , east fork, west fork,

some of the good baits Blue/back chrome rattle traps in the 1/4 and 1/2 ounce.

double drop crappie jigs in the white, chartreuse, yellow ,

small crank baits chrome, white , bone, blue and black backed chrome baits.

inline spinners like the shyster, Mepps, Rooster tails,

The little creek in Jessy Jones park is good for waders and Kayakers to get on some
white action.

all the creeks on hwy 19 north of lake livingston will hold great numbers of white bass

in the good size chalks , harmon , dillards . bedias .

monster white bass in the upper end of Toledo Bend.

now is the time to sharpen those hooks and put on new line for the season.

get on the water have some fun. 30 to 40 fish a day is nothing

the whites started to move a week or so a go when the water temp got

down where they needed it to be to lay their eggs .but then the temps jump right

back up to 70 degrees so put a halt to the white run with this front and a few

cold nights may get the water temp cold enough to get the whites interested

in mating again soon. usually have first cold fronts through here in oct but now

last of dec.
