Are there any public boat ramps to get into the West fork?

There are no public ramps to access the west fork of the San Jac. There is a Kingwood residents ramp that would provide good access, but you must live in Kingwood.Lake Houston Marina, BJs or Ponderosa and its a pretty good ride to get up to the feeder creeks. Made the trip from the Ponderosa on Saturday. Be careful going under 59. Its tricky through there, just get as far to the left if your heading up river and you should be okay.
Fishing was slow on Saturday. Only caught small males and not many of them. All set free.

The kingwood ramp is in river grove park. To get there take woodland hills dr. south from kingwood dr. and it is all the way at the end. Its a nice ramp enough parking most of the time. You absolutely have to make sure your TRUCK and TRAILER have a numbered k sticker or you will be towed and they are very quick to do so. They will disconnect your trailer and tow it (Learned the hard way about the trailer) nothing worse than coming back from a fishing trip only to find you have no trailer to load your boat. You can get the stickers at the KPA office its in the front of kingwood off of kingwood dr. and chestnut ridge right next to the chase bank. You will have to have your vehicle and trailer registration and drivers license to show proof of residency.

I am going to try and hit Spring and Cypress Creeks this weekend. With the rain and sun, it should be pretty good. Anyone have any suggestions on lures they have been hitting on or colors.
