Does anyone know the best color spiner bait to catch white bass in the bayou is. I caught a lot on black chart jigs last week but was wondering if they had a favorite color.

a white 2 inch grub on a 1/8 jig head is number 1 best

so if your using a small spinner white will get the job done.

for some reason most people on lake houston seem to like the chrome blue back

rattle trap. but any shad pattern works. some like the grey/white shyster

but i have found a white crappie jig and chart crappie jig tied in tandem like the

old spec rigs work better than any if cranked at the right speed. they

like it moving faster than the crappie do.

white or yellow shyster works good also

whites like sandy shore and humps some places call them sandies or sand bass

I would like to try for white bass in the Luce bayou, but don't have much time to scout out and not familiar with the area. Can anyone point me in the direction of bank accessible spots? (not asking for honey holes) If not Luce bayou anywhere else with public access and bank access. Also when is a good time to hit them up?

I appreciate any information you may provide.

They don't bite to good in muddy water. Bur with the water clearing
