Went yesterday from 20 to 4. Wind was calm most of the day. Only ended with 5 keepers, largest 17 inches at 2.1 pounds. The main reason for this post is two pictures. First one shows one of the million 5 inch white bass that I caught on a #12 Pet spoon. Notice he had a shad half swallowed in the first picture.

While I was taking that picture, the little pig tried to swallow the rest of the shad, with just the tail still sticking out. No wonder these things grow fast.

Great job Dutch, have you tried using a rooster tail behind your diver yet,I have always done good that way.I had better luck with the gray colored one. Please dont think Im tring to tell you how to fish, but rooster tail seems to catch bigger fish and sometimes you will hook a few crappie as well.

Stick last year Oct I was catching a lot up on the east fork. You just have to throw the right bait.

Hmmm, last time I tried to catch strippers was below the damn in the spring several years back.
Did not know they kick off in the lake. Of course I didn't grow up here. Only been here about 10 years and on the lake maybe 20 times.
I would love to try those rascals out.

I caught mine on white twin tail grubs. What else you think will work on them?

Tomcat. I have caught white bass in lake Houston for the past 20 years but the last few years they seem to be getting harder to locate.
