We're going to Riverside for the weekend and will be fishing Bethy Creek. Any fishing reports out there for that area of the River? I know the white bass should be stacked like cord wood but haven't heard anything.

NM I have not heard anything on Bethy but I have seen some good reports out of Harmon. I have been running farther up river (less traffic) and getting my limit of whites and then picking up a few crappie working log jams with char and char/white jigs.

Right now you can find them in the feeder creeks and in the river. I have been catching them out of both. The bigger females have showed up recently. You are hitting it at the right time. The key is to work the bait slow, with these fronts blowing in and out. By the time you get there it should be a little warmer and the whites will probably be more aggresive. Alot of fish being caught just north of Bethy and the 19 bridge. Try to target structure close to the bank as you can. Sometimes 1 foot either way makes alot of difference.

Perfect Weekend! Fishing and spending quality time with the Family!! Friday was not so good, the wind was blowing extremely hard and believe it or not it was hard finding some clear water. Only caught a few fish Friday mainly around the Bethy Creek Marina. Saturday we found some better water down river and came back with 35 keepers (white bass) and threw back at least 30 undersized fish. Caught all of our fish Saturday trolling with square bill crankbaits in fire tiger and sexy shad color. We also tried Chrome/Blue Rattle Traps and Little Georges, but the crankbaits worked best for us. The wife was winner of the big fish, 1.9 lbs. This was my first time fishing this area and it took me awhile to figure out the pattern and what the fish wanted but all had a great time and I think my gang is hooked on trolling for whites now.
