I have been catching a few whites here and there mixed in with crappies and decided to check a reliable barometer for how the run is coming along, Cypress Creek.

Put my jon boat in behind horse stables ( thank you Harbor Freight winch!!) and went downstream and its super shallow all along there til you get about 200yds W of bridge. I ran into 3 bank guys that had 10 or so each and was telling them depth and temp to help since I had the bird with me in the boat. I marked no crappie in at least 7 spots I tried with 3 of those spots sanded in, holes were 8-10ft last year, can see bottom now. Started trolling and found them in 3-4 spots in open stretches. All males 8-10in each. Any color worked. Called to share with another reliable source and he sent some pics of 14in fish limits already BELOW the dam.

Temp 63-65 ( needs to be 55-58 to turn on)
wind NW 10-15
Clarity 2ft
