I haven't posted because I haven't been fishing on the lake...because I sold my boat. Did go over to Lake Nassau last Tuesday to bait some carp. I got a little close to the water and when I threw out the first batch of boiled deer corn, the lake threw me in also (bank gave way). On the way in my left shin bone smacked one of the concrete bank linings. Cut a nasty V-shaped gash too. OW! Crawled up the bank and drove home. When I got home and came in the back door, my wife was sitting in her recliner and asked over her shoulder how it went. I said not as good as I had hoped. I walked up to the side of her recliner and she looked at my sopping clothes. Then I held up my leg where the blood was running down my leg soaking my socks. She went into apoplexy (she is an RN)
She immediately put a dressing on it and drove me to an urgent care and the doc cleaned out the flap that had peeled down and stapled it up. Been on 2 different antibiotics since then and it is looking better finally. Was getting pretty red for a few days. Did go back to the doc 3 days in a row to let him look at it though. Doing fine now but still sore. It was a stupid mistake.
