Well today we went out on my buddies newly built boat to run it and kinda let him learn the boat a little. I took that opportunity to bring some noodles or jugs out with me to have out while we cruise the lake. All I brought was 10 and we set them out twice for 30 minutes at two different spot. So an hour of fishing and we caught 8 keepers with the biggest going about 5 pounds. Sorry no pics but I will make sure I take some on the next trip. I haven’t thrown noodles in a while but good to see the cats are still out there.

What kind of depths were you fishing and what time of day? Blues, Channels? What kind of bait did they like?

I've been trying to find some fish so I'm asking for everything except exactly where :)

I have all my noodles set at about 3' to 3.5'

I make a trip out to the spill way a couple times a month and catch as many finger mullet as I can and use them for bait when I can catch them. We fished at about 1pm to 2pm that day and all were blues except 1 channel.

Location was on the west side of the big island visible from the north side of the 1960 bridge. There are plenty of cats out there so location of where we caught them isnt a big deal to me. We fished in about 7-11 feet of water. After years of fishing with noodles we seem to catch blues 99% of the time. Seems like they come off of the bottom to eat since we are catching them with just 3' leaders.

Hope this info helped a little.

Really appreciate the details. I've tried that area and see lots of good structure and even fish on the finder but have not got them to bite. Just need to keep at it I guess.

CJ"S punch bait usually works good in the summer months.
