Post subject:  Railroad tracks with kayak

Where is the best place to launch a kayak in order to get to the railroad? I want try to catch some catfish, but have no I idea where to launch without making it a far paddle

you can catch catfish pretty much anywhere on lake houston
if you can't make it to the railroad tracks. just use chicken hearts they
usually catch them around the high lines also . with this heat cj's punch
bait will do good. i would try close to the bulk heads early morning then move
deeper as day warms. i do not have a yak only place i know is at 1960 bridge.
to launch but that is a long paddle to the rr bridge.

long trek to the tracks from 1960. I would think one could catch as many catfish around 1960 area and power lines as they would around the tracks without the long haul...unless of course you simply enjoy the journey.

Thanks guys. Just bought a new Hobie Outback. It has a peddle drive. I'm going to try to make it some time this week
