Got halfway to the lake this morning and yet again forgot my phone. Turned around, got the phone, finally got to the lake. First hook in the water not till around 8am. Bite was one right after the other. Trouble is they were all in the 12 to 13 inch range and I don't normally keep them under 14 inches. Moved to another spot a little deeper with the same results. Had and afternoon appointment so I had to head in around 11am but I managed 10 keepers out of about 30 throwbacks. Water temp 69. A little foggy this morning for a while as the wind was calm and the lake was like glass. Water level up just a bit from last week but clarity still OK. Fished in 7 and 11 FOW.

HOG Crappie, that is funny. 3 hours of solid action is hard to beat. That haul will feed a lot of people. The weather seems to be cooperating without all that heat. I am looking forward to the next few months especially around Thanksgiving. I will be giving thanks with jugs a floatin and hooks a wet.
