Had relatives coming in from the valley yesterday evening so I decided to run over to the lake yesterday morning and catch a fish fry from them. Did not feel like gassing up the boat, hooking up the trailer and all that work so I bank fished. After catching keeper number 10, I headed home with 14 pounds of fish to clean. Two blues and 8 channels. Saw lots of boats pass by on a very smooth lake.

Sticko, didn't you see his name?? He's the Weatherman, he can make it calm when he wants to fish and windy for everyone else, ha!

WM, nice catches there, especially from the bank, those will fry up just peachy. And SK, I'll bet that guy was super fun on a crappie rod!!

Sticko,

We got about 1.1" at my house via the wally world rain gauge in my backyard. The feeder drainage in my neighborhood looks good, and the small embayment where it dumps didn't turn that nasty chocolate milk color it usually does after a hard rain...

Harris county OEM has a flood gauge on Luce Bayou that also tracks precipitation. It doesn't give flow volume, but it shows the stream height. Looks like Luce only got about half an inch and the creek didn't come up at all hardly. Link below.

https://www.harriscountyfws.org/GageDetail/Index/1940

After the page loads the first time, you may have to change the parameters at the top to show more time on the graph. It defaults to the last 24hrs for me.

WM can probably chime in with more pertinent info.
