Started out drifting this morning but they were not where I thought they would be. So i found a spot and anchored. Wind got a little tough at times but I managed to bring home 14 to skin. Water temp 64. Water in good shape. Saw very few boats out. Fish caught in 15 FOW.

Weatherman, I like to read the forums and see how everybody else is doing, been "lurking" for years and years. My son likes to fish for catfish, so I spend a little more time doing that than I do crappie fishing. We are probably fishing in the same area a lot. If you see us (or me) on the water, pull up and say "Hi". I always have a thermos of hot black coffee (IF I haven't drank it all), so bring a cup and I'll share what I have left. I'm in the old 1973 yellow boat with gray bimini.

Sticko, you might see me and/or my son "up the creeks" in our kayaks.

SK, always enjoy the videos. I send the links to my son so that he has another teacher other than me. Even these older teenagers seem to like the videos more than listening to their dad try to teach them. At least he's willing to learn and enjoys fishing. We are on Conroe & Livingston some. Crappie seem smaller on our Lake Houston than the other two lakes, but still fun to catch and great to eat regardless of which water they come from! Thanks again.

Happy Thanksgiving (don't forget to be thankful).
See y'all around.
Craig

"Sir" Sticko, I am so beneath all other fisherman in abilities and tactics, ESPECIALLY the King's of Crappie like yourself & SK (and his wife based on previous posts). :D

I'll stick with TRYING to catch crappie and leave the tips to you experts!

I will say this, "you catch less fish when your line isn't in the water".

Look forward to meeting on the water.

That is so nice of you to say. I do try to learn something
from everyone i meet. The crappie are being a little stubborn
right now . But i know they are about to turn on great anytime
now and the fishing will get really good. Right now the crappie
are out running the shad and are scattered out but once it get
a little colder it will bunch the shad up and the crappie will follow
them. when the piles start holding more than one fish to a pile
i will send you a private message and help you get on some good
fish i love it when a father and his son can get on some good crappie
fishing tight lines and good fishing CrappieCraig and son.

Craig, give me a shout sometime when you are gonna be out chasing cats. If I am out that day perhaps we can meet up. Always nice to meet folks from the forum.
