Im not getting any younger and its a fact it sucks to get old. That said, I am letting my guide license expire at the end of this month. Being a fishing guide is a lot of work that most people dont realize. Long days take a toll and now I am going to fish with family and close friends in a more relaxed way. I will say I enjoyed meeting other fishermen and women and especially watching kids catch catfish. I will still be found on the lake at least once a week and am always available for advice, tips and tricks.

Best of luck to you Weatherman. I always thought that guiding would put lots of pressure on you to perform and you must have the boat and equipment in the best of conditions and that it would take a lot of the fun out of it. I take a few guys out occasionally to just to get out and catch a few fish and it seems to put a lot of pressure on me, even though we are just fun fishing. You are awful kind to offer tips and/or advice. Take care.

You add having to put fish in the boat and it's a big job sometimes.....I have always said when I retire I wanted to guide but I think I'll retire from my current job and go to the job of guiding soon.....
Best of luck to you WM, hope to still hear your reports.....

Thanks guys. Cant wait for some cooler weather so fishing is more comfortable. Noticed one computer model is bringing a cold front on Sept 8 with lows in the 50s. Sure hope so.

SK, I can sure set you up with some folks as I get a lot of calls for crappie fishing but I am strictly catfishing.

Is that August?
You give us 4 days lead time??
Kidding.
Congratulations to you.

You’ll have to change your slogan...
How about;
“You don’t need a Weatherman to know which way the wind blows”..
It worked for Bob...
