Fished a little this morning and was able to bring home 8 keepers. Not a breath of wind making it just plain hot. Water not in bad shape after all the rain this week. Water level is down since yesterday. Water temp in the mid 80s.....obviously rain-cooled. Very few boats out.

Going to put the rods up until daytime highs are only in the 80s once again....hopefully sometime in September. Ive been finding my trips being shorter and shorter due to not being able to take the heat like I could years ago. Might try some nights now and then but will wait and see on that.

For those that have contacted me about trips, stay tuned and hopefully sometime in September we can start fishing again. I would hate to put folks on fish only to quit early cause the heat is getting to me.

I am with you on that heat, it is brutal. I will try an evening trip on Saturday and that will be my last trip for August as well, but mostly because of work and repairs needed on the rig. Eight is still a good trip on such a short trip under such harsh conditions.Better safe than sorry.

Absolutely!! No matter the temperature, if I'm smart about sun and heat safety then I can always have a good time.

Or you can just be like WM and get off the water by about 10am with your 8 fish.

Hope things cool down quickly WM, not just for your business, but so you can get back out and doing what you enjoy!! Being cooped up can be a drag.
