That looks like it was filmed on Bridgeport, but that could be lake weatherford since I've never seen that lake before I guess.

Looked like a fun trip. Thanks for sharing.

GG I was asked not to advertise the lake so LU is all I can give....

Sticko I've been on two boats with the new tm, one works ok and the other I'd rather have my current tm....

Same ad with the MG tm, I've been on one boat that it worked ok and the other boat not so much....

I'm waiting on something worth spending all that money on.....

thanks sk that is a lot of money but would be worth it if the thing did as advertised
but sure make you sick to spend the money and not get much better than what
you already have with the old terrova . At least it has a grove for the transducer
cable.

There's room for a lot of improvement and when they get what I'll be satisfied with I'll spend the money....
Those things are as much as a motor a real motor.....

Is there a new version of the spot lock or are y'all talking about it in general?. I have the first year ulterra on my boat that has spot lock. The accuracy of them varies depending on the boat it is mounted on. They work well on fiberglass bass boats. Those have low profiles that don't catch the wind and are heavy. So they don't drift much. They will hover over a spot in about a 3 foot radius. Tin boats got blown around a bunch by the wind plus the anchor lock tends to over compensate a bunch. So, it jogs back and forth a bunch and will keep you in about a ten foot radius.

My bay style boat acts a lot like the aluminium boats do. Spot lock keeps me close enough to the pile to go put fish in the box or tie a jig on and not be 100 yards away by the time I look up. But I don't like to use it to keep me right on top of a pile.

My trolling mtr is 24 years old and still operates fine...I believe the only original part on it is the serial number. lol google search and I generally find what I need to make repairs when needed.
I notice a few with Spot Lock features (expensive) but wasn't sure how they perform.

Biggest thing to remember on holding a spot (even with the hand control motors like mine)... drop your marker, go away, and approach it STRAIGHT upwind. Gets a lot easier if your nose is cutting the breeze and it's not hitting you sideways. I see a lot of people complaining about the spot lock that don't think of this.
