What's your reason for trying these fish?

Is it that you enjoy the HUNT, the challenges they throw, the constant changes you have to make?

OR

Do you just want to go and load the boat with fish when you go? We'll call this the preference to go CATCH.....

To me it is the hunt. each time is a learning experience.
these fish are very elusive at times. I want to learn why they
are where they are . what has brought them to this spot at this
time. It is exciting to fool them into hitting something that is not
real. Even something i hand made. There are times that it is frustrating
you know the fish are there you can see them by the hundreds right
under the boat and you can not get them to hit a thing. But you know
it is the target species you are after because if you stay on them long
enough one will break silence and decide to feed on your offering. I have caught
a lot of fish this spring and have kept very few . I just love to be trying , I can fish
all day without a hit and i am just excited on the last drop of the day as i was
on the first drop of the day i really expect a fish to hit on every drop of the jig.
i get excited every time i find a new brush pile or other fish holding structure,
I spend as much time hunting new structure as i do fishing .

Yeap that THUMP is very exciting....
I agree most with what Mr. Sticko said, I am fascinated with why these fish do what they do and are where they are at different times...
I'm also a die hard for using my fish finders...
Put all that together and the catchn is always more than less....
Gotta Enjoy The Hunt to be good at the Catchn....
Of course you can follow folks around but that will only get you scraps mostly...
Heard tell of a guy that proudly told a gentle thanks I've been watchn where you are fishn now I can catch some fish.... well his thinking was all about himself as the guy he was talking to had to pass up on a few of the spots he wanted to fish because the guy that made that comment to him was sitting on them.... guess you can call that enjoying the hunt of men... this same guy has been on the look for me also but your game had gotta be tight too followme...

The hunt!!

I spend 4 days pre-planning my trips and then throw it all out the window as soon as I get on the water and start from scratch haha.

It's an addiction.
