Congrats SK, good fishing everyone, sorry I couldn't make it. Great seeing Dutch & Ann participating, hopefully we can keep growing these tourneys. Will we see an all women's team out there one day???

I caught a 15 inch white crappie yesterday wish i had a scales to weight it to see the difference
the white seemed a lot more thin than the blacks. i do not think it was close to 2 pounds.
maybe 1-3/4.

That's why I target those blacks during the tourneys....

They're thick almost like a football....

That 1lb 7oz feesh would have been a good tourney feesh.....

I did some checking and they say it may gain a little weight in ice water. but on ice
it could loose a little from the slime loss. so who knows . I need to study the habits of the
black crappie more why would the whites be more lean is it because they are out running
the shad schools and the black may not do that. something to learn.

I ain't sure why they hold their weights but they do so throughout the hot summer also....
My research continues as to how to target one over the other.... seems I get on'em sometimes but other times the whites prefer what was workn for the blacks :| :? 8)

Interesting info on Black Crappie. Especially their targeted food preference vs. white crappie
