Wallie M calls them black nose . They are a variety of black crappie and taste great ! !

Hound this crappie wasn't your ordinary black crappie that was a mohawk or black nose & besides that I barely believe anything ole Walley M has to say....
Out of all the feesh I put in my boat this one is special...

Is that also what they call a Magnolia crappie, or are those yet another different variety?

No this is a natural white crappie that has the mohawk markings, that's what makes it special....

Thanks SK. From what I remembered a Magnolia was a cross between a blacknose and a white crappie, so I thought maybe there was a chance it was a Magnolia that looked more like a white crappie than usual.

SK I have never seen one of those either not on white crappie. Need to send picture to Texas parks and wildlife and find out if caught new species ! Just now saw video that was amazing !

As many crappie you bring in the boat SK i cannot believe you never seen one we get a lot of them back in the east fork... BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shock:

True S.K., some are missing the big picture, its a WHITE CRAPPIE w/the markings of a BLACKNOSE BLACK CRAPPIE. Oh well, some will never get it I guess. GREAT Catch and a great Great video S.K. BAAAAMMM! 8)
