FOR ALL THAT GOES OUT TO BOAT LAKE HOUSTON BE READY TO BOAT A NEW LAKE..... MOST ALL CHANNELS ESPECIALLY IN THE RIVER HAVE CHANGED DRASTICALLY...
WHERE THE CHANNEL USE TO BE IN MOST PLACES IS VERY SHALLOW NOW.....
THERE ARE SAND BARS EVERY WHERE...
THIS IS THE BIGGEST CHANGE I'VE EVER SEEN ON HOUSTON.... THERE ARE ISLANDS WHERE THERE WERE NONE & WHERE THERE WERE ISLANDS IN A COUPLE SPOTS IS NO MORE....
MOST OF THE STUFF YOU MAY HAVE HAD MARKED ON YOUR UNIT BE PREPARED TO DELETE.....
I SCANNED FROM PONDEROSA TO THE MAIN LAKE & UP THE RIVER TO LONG POLE HOLE..... TRUST ME THE CHANNEL IS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RIVER IN MOST AREAS.....
WATER TEMP STARTED AT 74 & YES THE LITTLE FEESHN I DID I CAUGHT A FEW NICE FRESH.....
Y'ALL TAKE YOUR TIME OUT THERE UNTIL YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOIN.....
DID SEE A COUPLE IDGETS PULLING THEIR KIDS ON TUBES OUT THERE BELIEVE IT OR NOT..... MUST BE THE ABSOLUTE DUMBEST FOOLS I'VE EVERY SEEN.....
YES THIS NEEDED TO BE ALL CAPS.....

Also the water in the bayou is a strong tea color almost red.... the river is sandy & gets dirtier the farther up you go & the current gets stronger.....
I got some excellent scans of how much that water moved the sandy bottom around..... when I get time I'll post a few....
