Finally got 4 decent crappie this am.
Big fish was 2.11. 5' down in 9 FOW. On a stump. In EF about 6:10AM.
Light breeze but got hot and humid quickly. Home by 9AM.
I only sent the scale picture as all fisherman do lie. Ha!
I released them all.

LH has some of the healthiest looking crappie I've ever caught, their body structure is different than most Ĺ‚akes.....A 13" crappie there is a slab anything bigger is definitely a true slab.....
They get almost as tall as they do long....
I hear of folks catchn 16 to 19" crappie in lakes in the DFW area that are not even close to 3lbs but in Houston if you get close to 16" you have possibly caught a 3lber....

Sorry to get off subject Craphac..... Very nice catch....

I thought I was gonna have time to sneak out there this w-end but it didn't happen.....

Thanks SK. The few I have caught lately are healthy.
This fish was on the first drop at a little after 6am.
I saw this fish beside the stump as I was getting my rod ready and eased up to it.
I dropped the jig and it never stopped; it nailed it but good.
Seems most of the fish I saw were 3-5' off the bottom in 10-12' of water.
